When I'd come home from a late night in the office, more often than not, she'd show up at my doorstep with a home-cooked meal. It didn't matter how late it was. She stayed up until one in the morning one night, waiting to bring me a plate of macaroni.

She did love your dad, and she loved you. Goodness, I remember the day you were born. She brought you home and couldn't take her eyes off of you.
